Installing VMware Virtual Machine

  1. Search for vmware on baidu and enter the VMware official website.

  2. Find Resources in the upper right corner.

  3. Scroll down to find Product Downloads.

  4. Enter vmware workstation pro 16 in the search box and click the search icon.

  5. Click the second result, as the first is for Linux and the second is for Windows. Note that the official website’s labeling may not be clear.

  6. After clicking, you will see the installer in the file list. Click Download Now to download.

    Downloading from the official website requires logging in. Here, I provide a backup link.

  7. The downloaded file is a .exe file. Double-click to install.

  8. Next.

  9. Accept the license agreement.

  10. If you have installed Hyper-V, you will see this option. To ensure compatibility, check Automatically install WHP.

  11. Do not change anything in this step. Click Next.

  12. It is recommended to uncheck both options.

Activating the Software

  1. Open VMware Workstation.

  2. Select I have a license key for VMware Workstation 16 and enter your purchased key, then click Continue to activate.
